James X Kyma-- Why I don't ship

Did it have potential? Possibly. I wouldn't have minded it if it was developed since book one and James didn't have as much history with Rafal.

Is it for poor single Rafal who didn't get anyone? Eh, not that either. (Though the lack of closure was admittedly annoying.)

I just felt like I could relate to Kyma about the whole boys thing, and the way James treated her in the beginning was similar to my experiences. (Basically, immature, rude, even physically violent boys. Mostly the former though)

Maybe they would have been better if James slowly outgrew his belief that girls are a waste of time and they became a platonic pair. But honestly, I'm questioning if James even realized the error of his ideas, because to the very end, he had some of the "me and the boys mentality."

And when James was consumed by Rhian's magic in that one part where he physically hurt Kyma-- no. I'm sorry, but that's a big nope for me. I don't care if he was "possessed" or whatever. How can any girl love someone after that?? He was choking her. And when she "saves" him, that also felt off, because it reflects the whole idea that women can save their man from his vices and problems! She just has to love him! Which shouldn't be a message to people, because nobody can save anybody from their vices if they aren't the person themselves. Also, this was after he saved her, so this seems to be this push-pull thing where it's frustrating, and Kyma deserves something happier than that to be honest.

James saw loving a girl as a distraction to his goals, got defensive over Kyma asking a question to me/confronting him, and even gave her what she herself called a "backhanded compliment." Immature boy but he gets the girl in the end. Aladdin was also superficial and immature.

I could tell James respected Rafal-- a guy-- and he sure as hell didn't see him as an obstacle or he being attractive an issue. he invited him to Neverland. But with Kyma? The whole "because you're pretty" was just so... off and the way he kept putting her down for being on the crew was annoying.

So yeah, i dislike the ship because James seemed to be that kind of boy towards her.

(Also, I wonder if Rafal would have done to a girl what he did to James. because if he was willing to do that to a female, that'd look hella pathetic. But I'm sure I would see a bunch of sexist takes, like "she's a whiny bitch being mean to my blorbo" bullshit.)

If Rhian knew from the moment he opened his eyes on a Tuesday morning, that he would see what he saw early that morning. He would have gone back to sleep and woke up from his nightmare. Instead, His blue eyes took in the sight next to him, his brother... Well, Now sister? Was sound asleep next to him.

Rafal Silver-White hair was long to reach against her back and stopping at the bottom of her hip line, her bone structure and face have been rearranged.

She had light colored freckles on her face, and looks like she had dimples as well.

The female next to moved over, kicking her leg on the other side of the bed, the other leg falling out from the covers exposing her creamy legs.

With heated cheeks Rhian looked away, he did not want to be caught staring at his brother?.... Sister!.

Moving the covers from his body, Rhian gets up from the bed and begins to get ready for his day.

After coming out from the bathroom fully dressed, The Good schoolmaster froze when his brother?.... Sister! Green eyes were staring into his eyes.

' Rhian!' The pale female spoke up, slowly giving up from the bed. Her movement was slow and steady, almost as if she was afraid she would fall.

The female slowly speed walks to her brother and embraces him, Rhian awkwardly returns the hug, making sure not to touch any part of her body inappropriate.

The two pulled away after a few seconds, neither looked away from each other.

Rafal spoke up first, still scared but more calmer now. ' So what's happening with me? Why am I a girl?'.

Rhian did not know, Nor did he have the question to it. He simply shrugged.

' I have no idea. But this does change things. The staff's doesn't know who you are, and it'll be strange if they see us leaving the study. They might assume I have a lover. '

Rafal nodded, her eyes watering slightly but she sucked it up.

' Alright, then let's eat breakfast. I'm starving'.

Rhian nodded.

After breakfast, many of the staff wanted to know where Rafal was. Rhian didn't tell them the truth, of course, just Rafal was out taking care of businesses. While Rafal and Rhian were trying to find ways for Rafal to swap back to his original gender.

One morning Rhian insisted that Rafal would go by a different name.

' Madison ' Madison agreed, the platinum blonde hair female smiled at brother. ' I want my name to be Madison ' She had changed her half-color after hating the white color, it was her original birth color, but it was ugly now.

And besides her new color was more prettier.

Rhian nodded, and the two went back to business.

But all that changed when Rhian soul begin to crave more.

His sister's love was not enough.

So Madison had no other choice, she had to do something she would regret in the future.

Fight hatred with hatred.

Love with Love.

Madison welcomed James Hook into the school sometime later, the male was handsome. Dark hair, dark eyes ,and a handsome smile.

And sometimes the way that he looks at them makes her inside feel weird?.

Did she have feelings for James? She couldn't have! They hardly know each other.

They only spoke when she ( Madison ) at the time was her true self Rafal, had spoken to his Captain, and the two agreed to share wishes together.

Madison chewed on her lip and looked away from the dark-haired male.

In two minutes he was assigned dean of the school.

In the end, Rhian was furious.

But instead of arguing and doing what he normally does.

He did something else instead.

He sent in a tall mysterious-looking pirate man, by the name of Vulcan.

He looked more like a drunk pirate.

Vulcan and Captain Hook crashed.

And Rhian and Midas ( Rafal ) bond was broken.

And a war was coming soon.

Hmm, truth being told I used to love the idea of James and Rafal being together, but not anymore. I don't even like the idea of Midas with Rafal, but to me Rafal doesn't belong with anyone, that's just my opinion.

Everyone else can have their own opinions ���

So here goes my headcanons.

1. If Rafal would have decided to let James in and stop thinking about Rhian's feelings and himself. I can see Rafal running back to James and apologizing.

2. If James decided that he wanted to take the chance and have Rafal as his boyfriend/Lover then there is a slight chance Rhian would be pissed.

3. I also have these headcanons of James and Rafal take their relationship to the next level, Rhian would come between them. He would be angry or upset, because he had a crush on Hook.

4. If this is Rise! Rafal we are talking about, then he would be a little distance, he would be in denial for a little while. He won't like the idea of relationships or anything like that. Still would be thinking about his brother Rhian.

5. I can also see Hook becoming a dean or something ( this time ) being thoughtful of others.

6. If this was Fall! Rafal then most likely there would be some trouble from the start.

7. Fall! Rafal would most likely be controlling and trying his best to make Hook feel like he should stay.

8. Overall this relationship would not be best suitable whatsoever.

Now the best part? I can see Hook and Rafal with two daughters? Let's say their names are Brianna or Elisabeth, beautiful names like that ( I would love to see everyone thoughts of Dad! Hook and Rafal ) and what names do you think they'll name their children?.

Sorry! I don't have any headcanons like that, I just don't see Hook and Rafal being together.

I use to like the idea of them, and besides the fandom is extremely obsessed with the idea of Rafal being with hook including Rhian.

looking back at this, it did have potential, but it was so poorly developed! James was just another boy and I have no idea why Kyma ended up visiting him at night or whatever she did. also have no idea why Rafal, who was upset at how Rhian and James were conspiring and being together, was playing matchmaker for James and Kyma. Rafal, who has JEALOUSY ISSUES!! He wasn't even half in love with Midas to justify it....
